The mission of the
Faith Formation and Evangelization (FF&E) Ministry is to address the spiritual needs of all children, youth, and adults within our parish by providing opportunities for every person to encounter and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, scripture, catechetical studies of our rich Catholic traditions, and service to our community. FF&E encourages all parishioners to seek the Lord as they explore all areas of Catholic life. The chairperson of the Faith Formation and Evangelization Ministry is Karen McCloskey.
Adult Faith FormationAdult Faith Formation meets individual parishioners where they are on their faith journey. It offers a variety of programs that enable them to grow in knowledge of and deepen their faith, so they can evangelize to others through their words and actions. Adult Faith Formation offers spiritual enrichment, retreats, Bible studies, speakers, book studies, and prayer services. Current opportunities include:
- Books during Advent and Lent offer daily prayer and devotions.
- Book Club, which is organized by Joe Shannahan, provides an informal venue that meets once a month to increase parishioners’ Catholic faith and knowledge in a fun and sociable atmosphere.
- Adult classes include Adult Faith Formation, Catholic Café, and Faith Builders. Adult Faith Formation meets on Wednesday nights to explore our understanding of the Catholic faith and/or the Bible. Catholic Café provides parishioners an opportunity to discuss faith related topics on Sunday mornings during Youth Faith Formation. - The Divine Mercy Cenacle, which is led by Tom Kihm, strives to live the message of God’s Divine Mercy by participating in Adoration, reciting the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and studying the Diary of Saint Faustina Kowalska.
- Prayer Warrior, which is facilitated by Carrie Oesmann, is an email prayer chain whose members share prayer requests and commit to pray for needs as they arise.

Sacramental PreparationSacramental preparation is provided to those who would like to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Holy Communion, Confirmation, and/or Holy Matrimony at Resurrection. To receive a sacrament, contact Julie Pietrocarlo, the Director of Religious Education.
Christian InitiationBecoming Catholic is one of life’s most profound and joyous experiences. Some are blessed enough to receive this great gift while they are infants, and, over time, they recognize the enormous grace that has been bestowed on them. Others enter the Catholic fold when they are older children or adults.
Entrance into the Church is governed by the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA). This is the rite for those who want to become fully initiated into the Catholic Church. Programs are available for unbaptized adults as well as for baptized adults or children who desire to complete the Sacraments of Initiation. If interested in becoming Catholic or completing your initiation, contact Julie Pietrocarlo, the Director of Religious Education. Bill Reiner facilitates the Initiation Ministry for adults.
Welcome CommitteeThe Welcome Committee reaches out to new parishioners to answer questions regarding Resurrection Catholic Church’s missions and activities. The committee provides information packets to new members and organizes RCC 101 in order for new parishioners to meet the pastor, learn about Resurrection's ministries, and tour the church. Joy Shannahan coordinates the Welcome Committee.
Youth Faith FormationChristian Formation provides children from kindergarten through high school with opportunities to know, love, and serve God and His son, Jesus. Through the religious education programs offered at Resurrection, children learn about the Catholic faith and how to live it. If interested in enrolling your child or becoming a catechist, please contact Julie Pietrocarlo, the Director of Religious Education.
